The camera and I have had a very interesting relationship. I remember the very first camera my parents bought me. I was probably about 7 or 8 years old and I got the opportunity to wield around a little plastic 16mm camera with no viewfinder. I took some terrible photos with that thing, but so began the love affair with capturing history.

Life then led me down the film/video industry. After 5 years of shooting video professionally, I did something crazy. I switched my camera from the video setting to the stills setting! That's when I realized and remembered my original love. Yes, I still very much appreciate telling a story at 24 frames a second, but there's something about the words that can be communicated with just one image that really fills my heart.

Everything that leaves my hands does not do so with my high standard of quality. I meticulously scrutinize every portrait to assure a value far beyond my clients’ investments.
